Alongside that, Dr. Augustyn was a member of many honors programs, including Mortar Board, and performed chemical research in honor of his late grandfather in an undergraduate lab that focused on creating medicine for Alzheimer’s research. Dr. Augustyn graduated from UNK a semester early with a Bachelor of Science Chemistry Degree (2016). He then went on to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE and graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2021. Shortly after graduation, Dr. Augustyn joined Dr. Beecroft’s practice at First Class Dental Care and has enjoyed the opportunity to work with Dr. Beecroft and the team.
Dr. Augustyn enjoyed all aspects of dentistry and had an extensive dental education at Creighton, where he treated patients of all ages and backgrounds. He enjoys getting to know patients and being able to serve their needs to improve not only their oral health but also their overall health. Dr. Augustyn is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the South Dakota Dental Association (SDDA).
Dr. Augustyn wanted to stay within the Midwest upon graduation and set his sights specifically on Sioux Falls. He enjoys many outdoor recreational activities, including working out, golfing, and fishing, and would like to get back into hunting. Dr. Augustyn was an athlete growing up and participated in sports such as soccer, football, baseball, and, most significantly, wrestling. He wrestled for 14 years but had to retire from the sport after many accumulated injuries and surgeries. Dr. Augustyn is from Nebraska and is a massive Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. He follows Nebraska Football, Wrestling, and Women’s Volleyball but enjoys talking about anything Nebraska or college athletics in general. He is excited to see you smile and to help with your oral health care here at First Class Dental Care.
